Creating your own token on the Alpaca DEX is simple, powerful, and fully non-custodial.
This guide walks you through each step — from choosing your network to finalizing your initial liquidity pool.
1. Select Your Network #
Before creating a token, make sure you’re on the correct Keeta network.
Open App Settings (⚙️)
→ Choose Mainnet or Testnet
- Mainnet: For real tokens and liquidity pools
- Testnet: For experimenting without risk
Once selected, return to the dashboard.
2. Start Creating Your Token #
On the correct network, tap Create Token.
This opens the token creation form.
3. Enter a Ticker Symbol #
Choose a short symbol that represents your project.
Example: LLAMA
This ticker will be visible across the DEX’s token list & Keeta’s Network.
4. Set the Liquidity Fee #
The liquidity fee is paid out to liquidity providers on your pool.
- This fee is freely adjustable
- Important: A higher fee increases the cost for traders and may reduce trust
- Your chosen fee will be displayed publicly on the token’s page
Choose responsibly — fees directly influence how attractive your token is for trading.
5. Set Creator Supply Ownership #
This option defines how much of the newly minted supply goes:
- Into the DEX liquidity pool, and
- How much stays in your personal wallet as the creator
Once added to the DEX pool, you (the creator) cannot access the pool portion.
These tokens are locked as liquidity and can only be withdrawn by the LP token holders at the time of removal.
Choose a split that fits your project’s tokenomics.
Important (Upcoming Feature: Liquidity Provision + LP Trading) #
Until the Liquidity Provision feature and LP token trading become active, the liquidity you provide during token creation is locked.
This means:
- Newly created pools have non-removable liquidity until the upcoming LP system is released.
- Once LP provision and LP token trading are enabled, a vesting period will also be introduced.
- This vesting period defines when and how liquidity can be removed from a pool, adding transparency and stability for the community.
6. Confirm & Create #
Review all details, then tap Create Token.
The system will:
- Mint your token
- Create the initial liquidity pool
- Distribute your chosen creator share to your wallet
- Add the remaining supply automatically to the pool
You now have a fully tradeable token on Keeta.
