Alpaca uses Keeta-native, fully non-custodial wallets, which means your wallet is not stored on Alpaca’s servers and cannot be deleted by unlinking it inside the app.
Unlinking simply disconnects the app from the wallet you were using — nothing on-chain is lost.
Your Wallet Still Exists on Keeta #
When you create and unlink a wallet, the underlying Keeta wallet continues to exist permanently on-chain.
It contains the same tokens, balances, LP positions, and transaction history as before. Nothing moves or disappears.
The only thing that changes is that the Alpaca app no longer displays it.
You Can Recover It Anytime #
As long as you have your 24-word seed phrase, you can reconnect the wallet by:
- Re-importing it inside the Alpaca app, or
- Logging in directly at wallet.keeta.com using the same seed phrase
Because Keeta wallets are non-custodial, no one — not even Alpaca — has the ability to modify, reset, or remove your funds. Your seed phrase is the only key that controls access.
Creating a New Wallet Does Not Remove the Old One #
If you unlink your wallet and create a new one, you now simply have two separate Keeta wallets:
- The new wallet you just created
- The original wallet, still fully valid and retrievable with its seed phrase
Both remain active on-chain, and you can switch between them at any time.
As long as your seed phrase is safe, your wallet — and everything inside it — is always accessible.
