Create a Non-Custodial Wallet

This wallet is non-custodial, meaning you—and only you—control your assets and private keys. No one else, including Alpaca or Keeta, has access to your funds or recovery phrase. Your 24-word recovery phrase (seed) is the only way to restore your wallet and proves full ownership on the blockchain. Because the wallet operates directly on the Keeta decentralized network, all transactions occur peer-to-peer without intermediaries or centralized servers holding custody.

The same recovery phrase can also be used to open or restore your wallet in the Keeta Wallet at wallet.keeta.com, giving you complete cross-app access while maintaining full decentralization and self-custody.

Create your wallet #

  1. Welcome screen → “Create Wallet”
    Tap “Create Wallet
  2. Write down your 24-word phrase
    • You’ll see 24 words in order. Write them on paper or another physical medium and store safely.
    • Do not screenshot, copy to Notes/Cloud, or share with anyone.
    • You can tap a word to regenerate it if you want a new set. When finished, tap Next.
  3. Verify Seed Phrase
Type the same 24 words in the correct order to confirm. Tap Complete.
  4. Wallet home
Your wallet opens (balance may be 0).
    • Tap the gear icon in the top-right to open Settings.
  5. Mainnet vs Testnet (Settings)
In this view you are able now to switch your wallet between Keeta’s main net and test net.
    • Main = real network, real value. Requires real KTA for fees and swaps.
    • Test = sandbox with test tokens (no real value) for experimenting.

Use Testnet & get test KTA #

In Settings → Keeta Network, select Test.

Back in Alpaca Wallet, on the home screen tap your address (e.g., keeta_aab…) to copy it.
  4. Request test KTA
    • Paste your address into the faucet.
    • Enter the amount (up to 10 KTA per request).
    • Submit. You can repeat to receive more in multiple requests.
